What’s Not Included?

• Logo Design (I will add a minimalist text-based logo if you don’t have one)

• Copywriting (I will offer suggestions but it’s up to you to craft your messaging)

• Photography & Videography (I will curate stock images to fill any gaps)

• Bespoke Illustrations & Graphics (I will curate stock visual assets for flair)

• Domain Registration & Hosting Fees (I will set this up and your card will be charged)

• Advanced Integrations (Mailchimp, Google Analytics, Salesforce, ConvertKit, etc…)

• Ongoing Website Maintenance (project is time-boxed to 3 weeks)

Any of these items may be requested for an additional fee.

How it Works

You bring the vision & craft the messaging. I’ll handle all the design and tech stuff. Together we’ll launch a beautiful website in 3 weeks flat.

Week 1: Define

• We’ll hop on a video chat to kick off the project. You’ll tell me about your business goals and together we’ll figure out which pages and features your website needs

• You’ll provide 1-3 examples of sites that best represent the aesthetic or style of your brand

• I’ll create a mood board with images, colors and fonts and together we’ll decide on a visual direction for your site

Week 2: Create

• I’ll customize your Squarespace template, design page layouts and will implement the style direction we’ve agreed on during Week 1

• You will work on creating written and visual content for each page

Week 3: Refine

• We’ll hop on a video chat where I’ll walk you through each page of the website while you provide feedback

• You’ll finalize all written and visual content for each page

• I’ll finish updating all the content and will make any styling tweaks at your request

Launch! 🎉

• I’ll help you set up payment to Squarespace, will hit publish and “hand over the keys” to your website. Pop the bubbly!

• I’ll follow up with a video training that walks you step-by-step through how to add/edit content on your brand new site

What Will it Cost?

The investment for getting your fully-customized website launched is $3000.

This includes all the time spent planning, designing, and building your website but does not include the cost of ongoing website maintenance.

You should know there are ongoing costs for keeping a website online, regardless of which program or platform you choose. You can expect to pay ~$164 per year for domain registration, hosting, and platform fees.

What is the itinerary? What will we accomplish each week?

What is the time commitment? I’m busy…

At minimum, you’ll commit 2 hours per week for the duration of 3 weeks. This covers your participation in our weekly call and required exercises. Beyond that the most time-consuming aspect for you is working on the content for your site. You get to determine the amount of time you put into writing and photography. Keep in mind that you can always add/edit content yourself after the end of this sprint.

What will it cost to keep my site online?

Regardless of which program or platform you choose, there are recurring costs for maintaining your website that you should be aware of.

• Domain Name Registration – ~$20 per year

  • For example: www.lolasflowers.com. The exact cost depends on the domain name you choose.

• Squarespace Subscription Fee – $12-46 per month

  • The basic plan starts at $12 monthly. Higher tiers unlock more advanced features.

• Integrated Services – $ varies

  • For example: the Acuity scheduling widget, automated email tools, and other advanced integrations require separate subscriptions that add to your monthly cost.

If you opt for the cheapest Squarespace plan you’ll pay $164 per year to keep your site online.

What’s it like working with you?

I’m a highly-sensitive introvert, empath and INFJ. Folks describe me as friendly, gentle, and focused. I take my work seriously but don’t take myself seriously. I love to have fun while doing this work and often send playlists of my favorite tunes to help motivate you. I prefer written communication over phone calls, which is why I love using Google Docs to collaborate. I’m an avid user of emoji and animated GIFs, so if that bothers you, we’re not the right match 😉

What’s your background?

I graduated with a degree in graphic design and have spent the past ten years building websites and apps for early-stage tech startups in the San Francisco Bay Area. In my role as UX/UI consultant and product strategist, I realized that there are so many powerful tools that can enable you to launch a product rapidly, with very little code.

While I learned to build websites from scratch using HTML/CSS code, these days I choose to build all my websites with Squarespace because it enables me to design and launch a new website in hours, not months. I founded Citrine Labs to demystify this website creation process especially for creative solopreneurs who consider themselves tech-challenged. One of my greatest joys is helping you overcome tech overwhelm and build the website of your dreams.

What if I’m really not technical?

If you can write an email, post to a social media platform like Instagram, or edit a word doc, then you’ll be totally fine. I promise.
